Making a wager on both games this weekend; both are regular sized plays.

Edmonton (-2 1/2)
Eskimos are the defending champs and the better team in this match-up but have to play on the road by virtue of finishing fourth in the West. Tiger Cats finished with a losing record but still get to host a playoff game because the East was so weak. I expect the game to be competitive but result in a win for the deeper, grittier side led by the best qb in the league.

BC (-5)
After losing both regular season games versus the Bombers in heart-breaking fashion, the Lions bounced back with three straight wins to ensure home field advantage for what could be described as their revenge opportunity. The squad is as healthy as any team can be at this time of year while Winnipeg is beat up and not as sharp as they were a month or two ago. The signing of previously retired kicker Paul McCallum (an area that cost them in both meetings this year) gives the Lions a rock solid fg specialist while the addition of receiver Sinkfield has injected yet more speed into the line-up. I see this game being close for a while with the home side pulling away in the second half for a comfortable victory.

Changing the Edm (-2 1/2) to a heavy play.
Being reported that the Tiger Cats will be without their three best receivers for the game on Sunday. Without Fantuz, Owens and Tasker in the line-up, they'll have all sorts of trouble keeping up with the explosive Eskimos offense. Heavy play on Edmonton.

Eskimos win and barely cover after losing starting qb in the 2nd half.

Lions rallt from behind to win but, unfortunately, do not cover.

Eye - Whats you take on BC CGY this weekend. I am thinking CGY might be a bit rusty having had 2 weeks off, Mitchell even more so being off 3. But Ulitmately they take them to the wood shed.

Thought the Lions would come out ready for bear last weekend but were very flat, fell way behind and were lucky to win the game late. If they don't jump on the Stamps early this weekend, can't see them coming back this time. However, can't get too excited about laying the points with a team that's been off for so long, thus, will probably sit this one out. Best of luck if you play the game, Powerz.
